It does seem amazing that a box-set containing the complete works of either Bach or Mozart could be available for 70 pence per CD, especially two sets that have received such acclaim from the music press, however here is the proof! Indeed, to mark the 250 anniversary of the death of Bach, Brilliant Classics embarked on a project to record almost the entire extant works of Bach, with just a handful of CDs containing music licensed from other labels. Of particular note are the Cantatas, rated as amongst the best sets available by the critics!

The Mozart set was issued to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth and includes period and modern-instrument recordings of all the known works. There is no booklet enclosed, however there is an additional disc containing Adobe (.pdf) files of the album notes along with a synopsis and libretto for the operas.
