Welcome to the guide for new visitors to Castle Classics! There are two ways to find recordings. You can use our Search facility or you can browse. We recommend browsing as the best way to shop. After all, how often do you go straight to the shop assistant in a shop and tell them what you want? Even if you are looking for a specific copy of, let's say, Beethoven's 5th Symphony, you would look at the discs on display first!

Just pretend that you are in a high street shop: Where will you find a recording of Beethoven's 5th Symphony? You would start with the B's and that's how our shop works. There is a detailed example of how to browse below and we have chosen Beethoven's 5th Symphony for the example.

If you do want to use the Search facility, type in as much detail as possible - If you type in "Beethoven", you will see a list of literally thousands of discs! If you know the catalogue number, type this in. (Remember not to leave any spaces, even if the number has spaces in the magazine review!)

1. Let's assume that you are looking for a classical CD of Beethoven's Symphony No.5.  Click on the button above labelled CD Shop.
    

2. This will open a page showing our current chart at the top, with further sections underneath for collections and, of course, composers, listed Composers A through to Composers Z.
    

3. Click on the text Composers B, or the image next to it. This will then list all the composers whose surname begins with the letter "B". If you scroll down this alphabetical listing, you will find the section labelled Beethoven, Ludwig van (German 1770-1827). Click on this text or the button immediately next to it.
    

4. You will now find different sections for each genre of music that Beethoven wrote, such as symphonies, piano concertos, piano sonatas, etc. As we are looking for his 5th Symphony, click on Beethoven - Symphony.
    

5. As there are so many recordings available of the great man's symphonies, we have further split this in to a separate section for each symphony. Click on Beethoven - Symphony No.5
    

6. You will now see all the recordings on our website featuring Beethoven's 5th Symphony, along with details of the performers, the price of the disc, reviews and a picture of the cover image. Click on the button labelled Add To Basket.
    

7. The next screen confirms the details of the item and gives you the opportunity to change the number of copies. (This defaults to 1 copy automatically.) If you wish to view or purchase more items, click on the button labelled Confirm. If you have finished shopping, click on the button labelled Checkout Now.
   
   IF AT ANY STAGE THE NUMBER OF COPIES IS INCORRECT, CLICK ON YOUR BACK BUTTON ON YOUR BROWSER UNTIL YOU SEE THE "VIEWCART" BUTTON. CLICK ON THIS AND THEN EDIT THE NUMBER OF COPIES.
    

8. Select your country from the drop-down list, then click on the button labelled Next. (We do not charge for postage and packing for UK deliveries, however you must select United Kingdom to ensure that you are not charged for postage.)
    

9. Now enter you name, address, telephone number and email address. We need these details to ensure that your delivery reaches you safely and to contact you should there be an unforeseen delay. Now click on the button labelled Next.
    

10. You will now be asked how you found our website and and your reason for buying. This is very helpful for us in deciding where to advertise, etc., however you do not need to complete these boxes if you no not want to. Now click on the button labelled Next.
     

11. You will now enter the Worldpay Secure Server. A padlock icon at the bottom right-hand side of your browser will confirm that this is secure. Simply enter your card details and that's it!
       
     

12. A receipt will now appear on the screen. Print a copy if you wish. You will also receive an email confirming receipt of your order and the order number. It is very helpful if you keep the order number as this will help if you need to contact us about your order.
     

13. Dispatch is within 3-5 business days for most labels. Some take a little longer, however almost all orders are dispatched within 10 business days. Very occasionally the label may be out of stock. In such circumstances we are notified immediately and will, of course, contact you by email advising the likely period of delay and giving you the option to cancel your order should you not wish to wait.
